An Analysis of Ahp Comparisons and Priorities

چکیده

In the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP/ANP), the local preference values v1p,v2p,...,vnp of n alternatives A1,A2,...,An with respect to a criterion Cp are measured in ratio scale (Saaty, 2006). Estimated values for the relative ratios vip/vjp (i,j=1,2,...,n) of the local preference values are elicited directly from decision maker (DM) via ratio-scaled pairwise comparisons. These estimated values are then aggregated by different methods to get the local preference values (called priorities) for each criterion Cp, p=1,2,...,m. After the same procedure is used to get preference values w1,w2,...,wm for the criteria, a weighted additive procedure is used to get synthesized overall values v1,v2,...,vn for the alternatives. The synthesized overall values vj=w1vj1+w2vj2+...+wmvjm (j=1,2,...,n) are also in ratio form.

Improved “bocr” Analysis with the Ahp/anp

This paper shows that the usual multiplicative synthesis of alternative priorities for benefits, opportunities, costs and risks, obtained from separate Analytic Hierarchy or Network models, can be ambiguous. The ratio of benefit and opportunity priorities to cost and risk priorities can be misleading when assessing the profitability of a project. The same holds for their additive synthesis, alt...

The Analytic Hierarchy Process

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), introduced by Thomas Saaty (1980), is an effective tool for dealing with complex decision making, and may aid the decision maker to set priorities and make the best decision. By reducing complex decisions to a series of pairwise comparisons, and then synthesizing the results, the AHP helps to capture both subjective and objective aspects of a decision. In a...

Double-Frontier Analysis Approach for Weight Derivation in ‎Analytical Hierarchy Process

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) combined with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) provides Data Envelopment Analytic Hierarchy Process (DEAHP) methodology for weight derivation and aggregation. A double-frontier analysis approach is proposed in this article to derive priorities in AHP. The proposed method combines DEA variable weight with AHP from both optimistic and pessimistic views to obtain th...

The Analytic Network Process

The Analytic Network Process (ANP) is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The basic structure is an influence network of clusters and nodes contained within the clusters. Priorities are established in the same way they are in the AHP using pairwise comparisons and judgment. Many decision problems cannot be structured hierarchically because they involve the interaction and ...
